Jedward have a UK tour coming up in September, and if this past weekend's concerts in Cork and Limerick are anything to go by, it's bound to go down a storm!
John and Edward have teased their fans posting on their Instagram photos of themselves wearing the Captain America jackets made by Australian fan, @jedjiggle. This is hot on the heels of rumours that they were seen this afternoon in Manchester airport. Word has it that they're due to make a promotional visit to Manchester on the 6th of August, with a further trip to London on the 8th. http://julietannb.wordpress.com/2013/07/26/good-bye-jedward-hello-john-and-edward/ I'm getting very excited right now because tomorrow morning I fly out to Dublin and then drive down to Cork for the first Jedward concert I've been to since seeing them in Panto, way back in January. It's got me thinking, what is it about them performing that brings fans back again and again and again? Here's a couple of their most recent perforances. They're worlds apart, but they might give you some idea of what I'm talking about. Back in March, John and Edward performed at the Melodifestivalen Second Chance final, accompanied by Gina Dirawi and Danny Saucedo. Gina and Danny started singing, and then...well watch the video... June this year they sang as part of the benefit concert to raise funds for the medical expenses of Aslan's lead singer, Christy Dignam. It was their first time singing on stage with a live band, and it brought them to the attention of a whole different audience: I'm wondering what to expect from this weekend's shows. They've suggested on Twitter that there may be an acoustic set... And cheekily more than hinted on their Instagram.... So what to expect? Fun, music, surprises. Most of all though, I expect John and Edward to be amazing, and to put on concerts that are the best value for money around.
Jedward perform Friday 26th July at Neptune Stadium, Cork and Saturday 27th July at the UL Basketball Arena, Limerick. Tickets are available from entertainment.ie Three tweets from (presumably) John over the space of 10 minutes on Twitter last night has got me very excited for the two Irish dates this weekend and the upcoming UK tour in September! Add to this these two tweets from Momma Jedward: All this follows their Instavideo posts two days ago of John playing guitar... I don't know about you, but I'm liking where this all seems to be heading :)
