DUBLIN DUO SURPRISES SUPER FANS!
Julie Atkin and Laura Morris are Jedward Fans. Superfans. Between them they have spent approximately £50,000 following the Dublin Twins and supporting their career, and they don’t regret a penny of it.
The friends first met on a Jedward forum, and since 2009 have attended over 140 concerts and Panto performances, bought countless CDs, downloads, and Jedward memorabilia. They’re on a first name basis with the Twins and have met them over 200 times.
The pair appeared on ITV’s “This Morning” yesterday, where Julie explained the reasons behind her passion. “I first liked them on “The X Factor” because they were getting booed and bullied and they just stood up to it, they’re really inspirational.”
Laura first saw them while they were all waiting in line to audition for “The X Factor”, way back in 2009.
“I thought they looked a bit unique being blonde identical twins with quiffs. I then went to see them at “The X Factor” studios and I just fell in love with them. I though they were so entertaining, really appealing,"
After chatting with Julie and Laura, “This Morning” hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby gave them the surprise of their lives, by announcing the Twins were waiting backstage to come see them on the show!
John and Edward had flown in from Dublin the night before and had managed to keep their appearance a closely guarded secret from Julie and Laura. They further surprised their fans by presenting them with a “golden ticket” – free admission to the Jedward concert of their choice, along with a “meet and greet”.
After speaking with Julie and Laura, the Twins performed “Happens in the Dark”, from their latest album, “Young Love”.
They then went outside to chat with other fans that had come to the London Studios to lend their support.
Jedward’s latest album, “Young Love”, is available to purchase from iTunes.
The Dublin Duo are set to tour the UK in September, with concerts in Lowestoft, Leicester, Chatham, Selsey, Fareham, and Cardiff. See Jedward Genius for concert and ticket details.
