JEDWARD'S FANTASTIC DAY IN CORK
It was a fantastic day in Cork for Jedward yesterday!
After arriving at Fota Island Wildlife Park, John and Edward greeted their fans, and were then shown the Park’s cheetah run, from the safety of the office of Sean McKeown, Director of Fota. Next they went on a train ride through the park with some lucky fans, taking in giraffes, bison, gibbons, oryx and a zebra named after them, called Zedward.
The Twins then met with iconic Irish children’s TV character, Bosco, as well as the Park’s mascot, Larry the Lemur. They sang an a capella version of Lipstick, danced gangum style with Larry, and were interviewed by Bosco, all while promotoing their concert, to be held at the Neptune Stadium, Cork, on July 26.
Jedward were interviewed by David O’Sullivan for Radio Station, Cork’s 96FM, before moving onto meet the Lord Mayor of the City, Catherine Clancy, who issued them with their passports for “Cork Rebel Week" (14-20 October), which is part of Ireland’s “The Gathering". The Twins announced that Lord Mayor Clancy would be attending their concert, by their special invitation! She’s going to be in for a real treat!
If that wasn’t enough excitement for the day, the Dublin Duo then moved on to Summer Bay, an indoor beach activity centre in Mahon Point shopping centre, where they participated in water zorbing, adventure climbing, and segwaying.
